Donovan Bezer

    Donovan Bezer practices commercial litigation, municipal law, and telecommunications regulation. He has won three-fourths of the cases he has tried to judgment. He has published numerous legal articles in the area of construction litigation, Internet law, and local government law. Donovan has a reputation among the bar for fighting hard for his clients in every case he takes.

    Mr. Bezer is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association, New York State Bar Association, the American Bar Association (ABA), and the Hudson Inn of Court. In 2009, Mr. Bezer won a national ABA writing contest for his article entitled, “The Inadequacy of Surety Bid Bonds in Public Construction Contracting.” The article was published in the Public Contracting Law Journal.

    On behalf of the New Jersey State Bar Foundation, Donovan Bezer has served as a mock trial judge, and lectured middle school students about the practice of law. Mr. Bezer is a former member of the Board of Trustees of Art House, Inc., a multi-arts nonprofit in Jersey City, New Jersey, and Board of Directors of Partners in Prevention, a nonprofit organization in Hudson County, New Jersey. Mr. Bezer served as Counsel to the 2009 reelection campaign of Jersey City Councilman Steven Fulop (Ward E).

    At Rutgers University School of Law, Mr. Bezer served as Managing Technology Editor for the Rutgers Computer and Technology Law Journal and Student Attorney in the Rutgers Federal Tax Clinic.

    Donovan Bezer is an active marathoner, and is training to climb Mount McKinley, the highest peak in North America, in 2013.
