Candida “CJ” Griffin focuses her practice on litigation. Ms. Griffin comes to Scarinci Hollenbeck after a judicial clerkship with the Honorable Ariel A. Rodriguez, Presiding Judge for the Appellate Division, Superior Court of New Jersey. Prior to her clerkship, Ms. Griffin was a law clerk at Scarinci Hollenbeck. Additionally, she has served as legal intern for the N.J. Division of Civil Rights and executive director for Identity House in New York City. While earning her Juris Doctor at Rutgers School of Law-Newark, Ms. Griffin was the Research Editor for the Rutgers Law Review. Her article, titled Workplace Restroom Policies in Light of New Jersey’s Gender Identity Protection, was published in the Rutgers Law Review in 2009.
Ms. Griffin serves on the Board of Trustees of the GLBT Rights Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association and is currently a Junior Editor for the GLBT Rights Section Newsletter. She also serves on the Essex County LGBTQ Advisory Board.
Ms. Griffin’s current pro bono work includes work on behalf of the NJSBA in defense of New Jersey’s Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights Act. Ms. Griffin also chairs the Scarinci Hollenbeck Diversity Committee.
