On April 7, 2009, Jay V. Surgent appeared live on TruTV's In Session program (formerly known as Court TV) on the Best Defense segment of the show, hosted by Jami Floyd. The 2 hour program that was delivered to a national audience featured coverage of a murder case in Louisville, KY, entitled State v. Vicki Monroe.
