Scarinci Hollenbeck's real estate practice is as diverse as the clients we advise. We handle the full gamut of commercial real estate issues including development; zoning and planning; construction; architectural; engineering; management; Mount Laurel and affordable housing projects; urban redevelopment and "Brownfields" remediation; smart growth issues; easements; financing; site selection and related permitting. In addition, our attorneys handle office, retail and industrial leases, subleases and license agreements for large and small tenants and also for developers, land owners and portfolio managers.

Our attorneys represent numerous New Jersey municipalities and commercial and private property owners with regard to real estate tax appeals. In litigating the complex property valuation and exemption issues involved in these matters, attorneys in the Group work with Township and County assessing officials and assist clients with proceedings before County Boards of Taxation and State Tax Court. In addition, we represent a wide range of commercial and private property owners, assisting them in reducing their property taxes to the lowest level permitted by law. Our attorneys deliver guidance on complex and often confusing property tax issues ranging from tax abatement planning and compliance to obsolescence depreciation analyses and interstate commerce exemptions on inventories. Our services often include seeking property tax abatements, exemptions, deductions and refunds; and assisting clients with personal property tax planning and audits.
