Thomas Hoff Prol’s practice encompasses the entire environmental law field, including environmental compliance, litigation, auditing, permitting and counseling. He works with public and private entities, including municipal utility authorities, municipalities, developers, solid waste carriers and other private corporations.

Mr. Prol is currently a Trustee of the New Jersey State Bar Association (NJSBA). In July 2006, New Jersey Law Journal included Mr. Prol in its annual “40 Under 40” list, an honor bestowed upon a select group of 40 young, exceptional attorneys in private practices across the state of New Jersey. In January 2005, New Jersey Lawyer newspaper named him one of the seven lawyers in the state who “made a difference” in 2004. Also in 2004, NJSBA named Mr. Prol its “Young Lawyer of the Year.” The award is presented annually to a young lawyer whose personal and professional achievements merit special recognition and who has made unique community and public service contributions, has actively participated in the organized bar and has stood out in the areas of professional knowledge, skill integrity and courtesy.

Mr. Prol graduated from New York Law School where he received the Daniel Finkelstein Commencement Award for writing and the New York State Bar Association’s Law Student Bar Association Achievement Award for service to the bar. While attending law school, Mr. Prol worked full-time as an environmental scientist and federal enforcement officer with the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Region 2, Division of Enforcement and Compliance Assistance, RCRA Compliance Branch, Hazardous Waste Enforcement Section. He also interned with the United States Attorney’s Office (EDNY) and the New York City Commission on Human Rights.

Mr. Prol served on the Board of Governors of the American Bar Association (ABA) Law Student Division and on the editorial board of the ABA’s national Student Lawyer magazine. Prior to law school, Mr. Prol served two years in the United States Peace Corps in the Kingdom of Nepal, where he directed sanitation units in four government district water and sewerage offices.
